Sr. Network Engineers are responsible for analyzing, installing, configuring, maintaining and repairing network infrastructure and application components. Technical background should include Access Networks, Wireless, Core, Network planning, Network baseline & topology assessment, Network planning & optimization. This position performs a wide variety of evaluation, maintenance, installation and training tasks to ensure network performance meets client and user satisfaction. A Senior Network Engineer also provides direction, information, and recommendations regarding network configurations and installations. Extensive experience in channel based client engagements, either working directly for a client/channel partner or experience in positioning complex installations to clients is required.
The Senior Network Engineer needs to have an intermediate level of knowledge in all aspects of networking technology with focused background in 1 Specialty (Data Center, Route/Switch, Security, Collaboration, etc). Focus should be on Cisco technologies, but the Sr. Engineer should have a working knowledge of other network platforms, and industry standards.
