  • Overview

    Processes customer returns and generates all related documents. Works with the customer to provide repair quotes and obtain customer approval and PO for repair. Ensures IPF’s (In Process Failures) are handled promptly by working with quality and integration teams to understand the scope of failure.  Also works with inventory control and the supplier to ensure correct steps are taken to disposition material in a timely manner. 


    Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required

    • Responds to inquiries, provides necessary follow-up and initiates related correspondence. 
    • Verifies material part numbers and quantity and enters return/damage/short information into system. 
    • Ensures documentation such as return merchandise authorizations (RMA) and other such documents are complete, accurate and processed appropriately.   May also perform other duties as assigned.
    • Acquiring basic knowledge of job content, practices and procedures. Still learning skills necessary to fully perform job.         
    • Performs functions that are routine in nature with minimal complexity or variation.       
    • Works is performed under supervision and receives detailed instructions to perform tasks. Follows priorities provided to them for performing work.         
    • Interacts mostly with immediate peers within assigned work group. Limited interaction and information exchange with other work groups may be required to perform role.  Based on nature of the role, may field requests from others in the organization. 
    • Impact of decisions is typically contained within assigned work.

    Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions


    • 1 year experience within a manufacturer, supplier and/or vendor returns


    • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience

    Distinguishing Characteristics:

    • Basic computer skills, email, phone, and communications skills. Excel a must. Organization and exceptional follow up skills.  Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
    • Overtime may be required based on business need.
